MEET OUR COACHES
JEFF STANDARD
Jeff is the founder and director of Texas Pistols West. He will also be coaching our TXP West 12U & 14U Black Teams. Jeff grew up in Electra, TX just west of Wichita Falls. He was a multi-sport player in high school earning all-district honors in various sports as well as all-state in football. He continued his college years in the same area and graduated from Midwestern State University with a degree in Sports & Exercise Science. Volleyball playing experience consists of college intramurals and traveling with friends to play in weekend tournaments, very similar to club nowadays. From little league baseball, Red Cross swimming, Boys & Girls Club basketball and volleyball, Pop Warner, GMFL football to Junior High and High School various sports, Jeff has 30 plus years of coaching experience under his belt. He started coaching club volleyball in the North Texas region for the then named Texas Hotshots, who are now your current day Texas Pistols. Since moving to Midland, Jeff has coached for 3:23 and Midland Edge Volleyball clubs.
EVELYN JUNIPER
Evelyn is the assistant coach for our TXP West 12U Black Team. She was born in San Antonio, TX. This is her second year with TXPW. She started playing volleyball in 2nd grade and continued to play through her high school years at the club ball level. She graduated from UT Austin in 2014, while there she participated in their intramural volleyball league and coached 5th/6th graders at St. Austin's for 2 years. She moved to West Texas in 2019 for a career change and started coaching volleyball at San Jacinto Junior High in 2020.
LEXI PINKERTON
Lexi is the assistant coach for our TXP West 13U & 17U Black Teams. This is Lexi's second year with TXPW. She was born and raised in Midland, TX. She is a 1996 graduate from Midland High where she went on to play Division II volleyball at the University of Central Oklahoma. Lexi was recruited to play middle, but had to learn to set and play opposite due to a shoulder injury. She has been coaching club on and off since graduating from college. She is currently the PE teacher at Bunche Elementary. She has been married for 17 years to Michael, and they have one son, Gavin.
She has played volleyball all her life, and has a love for the game and wants to foster and help someone have that same love for the game.
